Oil Painting of Clipper Ship 'Waitangi'. The painting is an original of the clipper ship 'Waitangi'. She traded between London and New Zealand in the early eighteen hundreds. She was captained by Frederick John Sotham, who later left the Navy to become an Anglican Minister, and was Vicar of Waimate, from 1891 to 1896. |
